When the call came from producers on TV's Celebrity Big Brother, Blazin' Squad's Kenzie admits he could have lost out.
Apparently, the producers were wondering whether to pick him for the hit show watched by millions - or go with the Squad's lead singer, Krazy.
But Kenzie got on the case, did the meetings - and he was in.
He said: "They took a liking to me, luckily, because I was being really forward, acting a bit cheeky as if to say I'll have a laugh and I'll muck about in there.
"My management didn't really want me to do it, they thought I would do something stupid!"
Kenzie was speaking to promote My Life, a scrapbook which includes more than 100 exclusive pictures of his family, the band and Celebrity Big Brother.
