Same here tbh, I found that the show became more of a Drama-fest rather than a Comedy during seasons 5-7 (the last years that I watched) and I never came back.
I wouldn't be surprised that it ended better than GOT though, even though I'll always prefer GOT overall it did end in a disgraceful way imo and showed a lack of respect for it's audience that had been watching the show for 8 seasons.
