Going against the SNP without being really, really sure of the up to date figures is a mistake because they always know them so it's an immediate and verifiable pitfall. I wasn't a fan of Alex Salmond's manner or many of his opinions, but credit where credit's due, he could pull accurate statistics and figures out at the drop of a hat and tripped up several interviewers with them. Wee Nic (and other SNP members) are good at doing the same.
