Honestly it would make more sense for all bank Holidays to be Fridays instead of Mondays (economically speaking) because Fridays are already the least productive day by far. Productivity (in all companies) is high on Mondays and Tuesdays, drops a bit on Wednesday and Thursday, then steadily declines through Friday with people often leaving hours early for the weekend.
On a personal note, I also think Fri-Sat-Sun feels more like a 3 day weekend than Sat-Sun-Mon anyway, for some reason. I think Monday feels like a "new week" whether you have it as a day off or not. Harder to just relax. I'd also rather have the kids off school on a Friday than a Monday. Maybe I'm weird and over-thinking it...
