Default Grenfell tower survivor gives birth

from 2018.

Quote:

A family who ran for their lives as Grenfell Tower burnt down around them has welcomed a baby girl, who they call their “beacon of hope”.

Beinazir Lasharie, her husband Damon Deiches and their two young children fled their home barefoot as cladding spewed from the burning building.

Their four-year-old boy Liban has suffered since the disaster, and last week told his mum that for her birthday he wanted to buy her a hose “for the fire”.

After months in a serviced apartment, and having suffered with PTSD and depression – Mrs Lasharie welcomed a 7lbs 4oz bundle of joy 11 weeks ago.

And incredibly, Aisha is one of six babies to have been born in recent weeks to neighbours and family-members of Beinazir.

“She’s been a real ray of sunshine for all of us, she’s a beacon of hope,” said Beinazir, who gave birth while living in the serviced apartment, before finding temporary accommodation back in the Grenfell community in March.

The mum of-three added: “She wasn’t planned, but God wanted to bless me with another child.”
I had no idea she was part of Grenfell!
