Nahh I get it I think. Its not only every stop they have to say it, and hear the same thing over and over. Its sometimes multiple times per stop. This one..I was staying on for 20 mins as needed to go further, and there were maybe 30 people got off at the station..and it seemed all of them said thanks. I know that he should have held it as people were just being polite, but if having a bad day then that..I kind of get it.

I always say thank you to the bus driver as I get on, but not as I get off. I hope that don’t make me a bit of a prick
But I do understand, especially if they were having a crap day like you said if hearing the same thing over and over riles you up a bit.
