Default Do you think it matters if an Opposition Party is unelectable?

People say Corbyn is too far Left, and that the general public won't vote for a party fronted by him. Do you think this matters?

I think it's the perfect situation - having him being in the HoC as a prominent voice shifts the Overton Window, so discussions can take place and ideas can be fronted which otherwise might not have been, but he's not able to empower anything too crazy.
