I think it's very simple what happens at Area 51.

They create "women" using Alien technology that looks a lot like Humans, they make them with blonde hair, blue eyes, smoking hot looks, and they become singers so as not to look suspicious to any of the general public, they even release catchy numbers such as Blank Space, Toxic, or Ray Of Light, or Burn. But by night they're really Monsters that drain your life source as an effort to cut the population down and their real jobs are hinted at in the titles of those songs above.
