It always baffles me when people judge contestants in rtv as if they were fictional characters. They are not. Sooner or later they start being themselves bc they cant keep up the facade. So I judge them for who they are.

We hardly know them really, the airtime isn't that big. And they are put in a very usual situation, either the environment or having to make stuff up. I've no doubt that everyone would prefer to go in as themselves, but the producers will obviously want some to play catfish, or to make up some stuff to make the show more interesting.
Also it's an entertainment show. I may find someone on reality tv very likeable in their way but also not very interesting where the game is concerned. Sy seems a nice guy but he didn't really light things up, not many people probably wanted him in the final.
