They had a fully-equipped studio and apartments here so financially it makes sense in the event the show isn't renewed. Why would Netflix pay for three studio spaces when they can use one?
The Wall on BBC One was filmed in Poland. Series one of Love Island Australia used the UK villa in Majorca.
It happens a lot.
