I've not played pool for about a decade, however, if you're any good at pool that's not a shot you should really have to play Parm! 90% of the time you'll have a half decent shot on a pocket (it's not Snooker), and if you don't you should at least be trying to make the other player's shot as tricky as possible... surely? If you just hit it 'n' hope you'll likely get nowhere AND risk setting them up an easy shot.
