Really? Bonfire Night and fireworks in general don't seem anywhere near as ubiquitous as they were 15-20 years ago.

I remember around late 90s there was no escaping the noises all evening/night long for days around bonfire night. Whereas nowadays, apart from a few, a majority either don't bother or just attend the organised displays.

Maybe it's just this area.
