I was going to say there's less chance for me and my wife because we're from very different areas BUT my dad's maternal family (if you go back 3 or 4 generations) was Irish Catholic, and her mum's family is Irish Catholic going back just one generation (both her maternal grandparents migrated from Ireland as adults) so I guess there's potential there .

If you stay around the same area for life everyone does seem to be related in some way or other though. In my teens it transpired that my best friend at school is actually some form of "numbered/removed" cousin... my grandfather and his great-grandfather were 1st cousins. So not even that distant
