Being fair; he may only have been to one or two KFC's. My local does a great gravy, and there's one along one of our regular road-trip routes that does an EXCEPTIONAL gravy (we joke that they need to promote their gravy-chef and send them off around the country, teaching staff their ways)... but I have also been to one or two where it's been watery and bland
. I'm not sure why it's not jus "standard" but it definitely has variations from outlet to outlet.
