Off the top of my head:
- Those charity plastic wristbands.
- 9/11
- Bebo and MySpace. Oh and Piczo!
- Everybody thinking Gareth was going to win over Will on Pop Idol and having a massive shock.
- "Scoobies" - all the girls had bracelets or keyrings made from them. They were like multicoloured plastic wire that you'd plait into long shapes.
- Cascada were everywhere.
- Half of the kids were into Wigan Pier and all that while the others were into The Kooks, Hard-Fi, Razorlight and the like.
- Velour tracksuits, parachute pants (with tassels) and skater shoes.
- Nasty Nick's antics and ejection being covered ON THE NEWS for like a week solid and absolutely everyone being gripped and appalled by it.
- Monroe piercings suddenly became the "in thing" because of Amy Winehouse.
- Timbaland's Shock Value album that was massive and EVERYBODY I knew had a copy of it.
- Endless hot Summers with my mates. The 00's were my "growing up" years (age 10-19) so at the start of the decade it was all bike rides and innocence and by the end it was drunken-ness, girls and partying
. Either way, amazing memories.
