To end your life is to see nothing - or NO ONE - worth living for. That includes friends, family and colleagues alike. Had there been any sort of rational thinking about who she was leaving behind, I am sure she wouldn't have done it.

We know she had support from those around her but that doesn't make her selfish for doing what she did. There is nothing more powerful than the human mind so when that psyche becomes increasingly warped and damaged there is nothing that can be done to overpower it.
