Konami is run by idiots so this is probably the best option for these franchises.
The fact that Konami did nothing with Castlevania when Netflix was giving it a bigger profile than it ever had before just shows their incompetence. Hopefully this rumour is true since Sony will take more care of these franchises than Konami ever could.
