In nearly 10 years as a bookie drone, 5+ years as a shop manager, I only ever encountered a handful of Basketball punters. And they're ALL ****ing weird, but in entirely different ways. It's fascinating. There was one who used to make really elaborate points spread bets whilst so blind drunk he could barely stand then he'd forget he ever made them and have to come in and ask the next day what he'd bet on.

And one tiny little bald man (can't have been more than about 5'3 and skinny) who dressed normally from the waist up, but in see-through white tights like a ballet dancer from the waist down. Thankfully, with white y-fronts underneath.

You can tell a lot about someone from what they bet on tbh.

Greyhounds punters are arseholes with too much cash, for example. 90% of football punters are young guys with no idea how odds work.

Golf punters... Ugh.

And American Football handicap punters who think they're pro gamblers but hardly ever make a profit

Aw I miss some of it really. Characters.
