#41
One of the things that attracted me to Super Whatevr was the tone of Skyler McKee’s voice, it’s just so unique and I love listening to it. Personally I don’t think he truly found the exact sound that suited him until their latest endeavour (Don’t You Wanna Be Glad), but the offering from Never Nothing is a good listen nevertheless.
Some tracks are good but don’t ever seem to reach any kind of peak or climax, which is a shame as there’s a lot of potential, but some of my favourites are examples of songs done well. These include subtle love song Kathrin with a K, and old school pop song Cops on Motorcycles.
Other highlights on the album include the fastpaced banger Misquote, the simplistic Telelelevision and disappointingly short 8:51AM (Saturday Morning Congestion Blues).
