It's a televised screening of a stage show and, thus, will be crap. I love live theatre but it doesn't translate to screen at all, the whole point of it is that the person is right there and it is 100% live... Every intonation, every stumble and recovery, that person is right there in front of you.
I love TV and film, too, but its an entirely different medium.
I can't stand musicals in movie form but have seen three live in the West End and they were all incredible. I've seen a recording of a show I was actually at online and it just doesn't capture that feeling and atmosphere, at all.
