I don't wish to rerun the EU vote.
However the vote itself was a UK wide vote and in that, the result is valid, although a narrow margin.
Even of all who voted.
However, it was the devising of the vote that was at fault, which is the cause of division in part, in my view.
For such a major change of the UKs past and future.
One condition should have been, 50% + one vote needed from all eligible to vote.
To make it valid.
and/or
Another condition, with the fact the UK is made up of 4 Nations.
It should have been 3 had to vote the same way to validate the referendum.
It's irrelevant now however with England having the massively disproportionate share of voters in the UK..
It was always likely the case that however the vote went in England.
England would only really decide this referendum.
Even had Wales voted remain other than leave.
So with Scotland voting by double figure margins to remain along with Northern Ireland too.
It's no wonder divisions, suspicion and even dismay have just not gone away.
However the blame lies with the then PM Cameron and his failure to ensure the fairest possible vote.
You can't have that, when you create the scenario where only the biggest of population and voters of 4 Nations, are able to wipe out the votes and results of the other 3 Nations.
As to Johnson in Scotland.
I think he may secretly want Scotland to leave the UK.
Him going there will for sure, in my view, only likely help to hasten that cause.
