Yeah, it's maddening. And I know TS mentioned the mental health damage caused by rape but it's more than that, it's such a violation in a different way than a physical assault is and I often feel like that part of it is taken in to account more if it's a man who's raped

...there are so many levels and layers of damage that a victim will have...I just can’t imagine the feeling of helplessness of your body being invaded in such a way, I mean that would strip away all of your confidence completely and just leave you feeling so vulnerable ...but then to have society look at you as well with judgement of...but why did she go/why did she say/why did she wear....etc, you know..?...honestly, I don’t have words for how that would all make someone feel and it’s understandable that some women don’t put themselves through the ‘justice’ system...
