Iconic but it doesn't mean it shouldn't evolve - even the creators thought it was dated by the time it moved to C5. And just like the visuals if they played with it a bit if it doesn't work it's out for the next season anyway.
Survivor US used to tweak the theme each year to match the location, and I just wonder if not having an Evil theme, a Heaven & Hell theme and a Carnival theme for example were kind of missed opportunities.
