Makes me think of someone from my year in school - her name was spelled Sara, but pronounced Sarah
her catchphrase became "it's pronounced Sarah, miss/sir", sounding ever more downtrodden and resigned as the years went on
I think I heard she had the h added on the end by deed poll, but the person who told me that might have been joking
