Thanks for the link. It's so silly to use youtube for clips because everyone knows they take loads of videos (and even channels) down all the time.

It's because it's the most well known platform. Uploaders continue to share there while accepting the
HIGH likelihood of video removals/account terminations. Of course people could and should be using more obscure sites to upload this sort of content to(as the chances of it surviving would be far greater) but how many eyeballs would be on it? Very few. Which is why it's generally deemed unworthy of the time and effort taken to share to such places.
