Right about the weather. Here in North Wales from pretty much now until March/April it's just rain and wind with soon-to-be ice and then eventually snow.
Where the castle is is right on the coast too practically so they'll get the extra hit of wind and cold from the sea.
It's going to be very cold, very wet and very muddy for them. "Miserable".
