A market maybe but they've tried the "showing classics" thing and it seems the market simply isn't big enough. Cinemas operate on a very thin margin and if they can't generate the income to meet the overheads, they can't function. The "big blockbusters" that fill seats and sell all-important confectionery are necessary to keep the lights on, basically.
