I still think the press harassing an ill man over some professional dishonesty from decades ago is pretty rank. By all means, he could be asked - maybe even in a letter from William himself? - to tell the full story and might be more likely to tell the truth.
The headlines about how he clearly "isn't that ill" because he's able to go out for a walk are pretty foul, and really since the whole complaint is about the integrity and morals of the press, just ridiculous hypocrisy.
