I agree, London always had a special place in my heart because I lived there for a couple of years when i was younger but I went to Liverpool 2 years ago for a weekend and I just fell in love with the place. I totally feel you on the Manchester thing Niamh. It can’t be doubted that it’s got more going for it than Liverpool on the economic front but Liverpool feels special somehow (in a way). It’s not somewhere I’d want to go back to in a hurry or live for any more years than I did but if the circumstances were different its position as the second London of the U.K. would’ve shone through a lot more.
