20% of hospital cases (1 in 5) needed ICU and 80% of those (4 in 5) needed ventilator giving a total of 16% of hospital cases needing ventilator. The point of needing a ventilator is when survival chances really drop.
HOWEVER
Those stats are from the first wave, when there were fewer treatment options. As things are now, fewer hospital cases end up in ICU and fewer ICU cases end in fatalities. But I don't think there are exact stats.
