Agreed, theres cases of people not getting their smell and taste back and even people's lungs which are really messed up from it. Honestly people will think this sounds minor but it's ****ing miserable. I have a sinus issue that means I lose my sense of taste every time I get a cold - it's actually one of the first symptoms (I eat something and it tastes like cardboard, and I know that I'll wake up the next day feeling crap)...
... it's awful. Eating at all becomes just a chore, my wife has to encourage me to have my dinner at all because I just can't be arsed sitting feeling like I'm chewing on air for half an hour. I get really frustrated after 2 or 3 days of it and the longest it ever lasts is about 5 days... I honestly can't imagine it for months on end.
