Whether than means altering breaks for fewer, longer breaks (to act as "circuit breakers") or whatever. Schools can't stay closed for years on end, it simply isn't feasible.

Well next August there may not be many school staff left anyways so it won’t be an issue .. of the staff that are not off sick , or working from home as they’re vulnerable..... I know many , many teachers and teaching assistants who are ready to quit .. probably before Easter as well ..so god knows how many will stick around for the long term .. probably just the ones at the top - the heads , deputy heads , SLTs and the HLTAs who are not on the front line with the kids .
We had two young teaching assistants who didn’t even come back after Christmas- they just left without giving notice .
We are currently under staffed , over worked , being given in some cases completely new roles plus we are all risking our lives and our immediate families lives .
It’s all so disheartening...
