We as a country profited from the Slave Trade and the empire left the world in a worse state than it was before it was a thing. The arrogance of this country is a constant source of irritation for me, we're think we're perfect, beyond blame, but we're not. Our history is vile and telling people to get over it instead of accepting that, for many people, we were the bad guys is just gross.

We can't look down on America and go 'This isn't America' because we helped the slave trade grow, it's as much a stain on our history as it is America's.
