That said, they are doing the best with what they can.
It's not exactly the same really, antibiotics attack bacterial infections directly whereas a vaccine "teaches" the immune system how to fight a virus itself. I think theoretically, it will always be possible to vaccinate against any viral strain, the problem is more that constantly researching and updating vaccines to roll out year after year is really not ideal. Think of what's gone into orchestrating it just once.
