I think potentially a large part of the issue might be minority groups are less likely to seek medical help for things, for many reasons but one from someone I know, she tends to avoid doctors and such as she has suffered racism previously there. Its not the answer to just not seek help when needed of course, but I get it..

Not saying thats the only reason though. 'BAME people more affected because racism' is absolutely not my point but I cannot seem to word that to say exactly what I do mean :S
