HMRC are one of the worst for this, and they speak to you like **** when you do get through because they have you over a barrel (they are not customer service...).
I cancelled Sky last week and was put on hold 4 times, for 10-15 minutes each time... that was pretty grim. Pretty sure it's a tactic to try to get you to give up and just hang up on them without cancelling. AND THEN the guy wouldn't stop talking about Rangers. I was like "Mate just cancel my telly package pls".
