Jan-Marten Block does not want to rest on his laurels! At the beginning of April, the musician defeated his teammates Kevin Jenewein, Starian Dwayne McCoy and Karl Jeroboan in the finale of DSDS. In addition to a prize money of 100,000 euros, he also won a record contract. For Jan-Marten, being able to make music professionally from now on is the most important thing. His DSDS victory is only the beginning of a successful career.

About a week after his victory, the Schleswig-Holsteiner remembered the evening that changed his life. "Whether this can be seen as a success now? Yes, you can," he told Bild. But Jan-Marten is not, as it seems, off-putting. "Success has several stages and I've probably only managed the first stage of many that may still be ahead of me," the 25-year-old said.

He is aware that there is a lot of work and diligence behind success. What Jan-Marten is particularly pleased about, however, is that he does not go down this path alone! 'I'm not the only one who wants to do this, but also the people who work with me - they all want it. That gives me even more energy to get through that. That's the beauty," he enthuses.
