...drag race is something that I haven’t watched from the beginning so I don’t know all of the Queens mentioned or know their seasons etc...it’s something really that I hadn’t thought of so much, the cost of really taking their lives and their art and talent onto a different level in their exposure on drag race...and with U.K. ones, like Joe Black for instance...?...and Ru’s incredibly cruel rant to her...it’s not even that those U.K. girls get the prizes that the USA ones do, I mean at least some of the cost of appearing can be balanced with a years free products etc as prizes, there are some immense ones for their clothing/makeup/hair wigs etc...that article puts so much perspective on how thrilled they are when they win a challenge and receive a wonderful prize...but the U.K. ones don’t, they just have to be proud and happy that Ru has bestowed on them a Ru badge...and then rants because she thinks their outfits are ‘cheap’ when she shows cheap herself in her appreciation of them...that outburst with Joe Black was so revealing...and at a particular time when finances have been such a struggle for so many...and at a time when mental health has been poor as well, to be ranted at like that...how horrendous for Joe Black...

...and LaLa Ri’s bag runway...that lady was recycling and saving a bit of money for that runway because not all runways have to be expensive...yeah, it’s drag/it’s glam and bejewelled and be-sparkly and be-glittered... but it also should be considerate to the queens and the cost to them personally because the most of them don’t go on to have a different level of career, most of them can’t be winners by the nature of these shows...

...yeah, an interesting article, Shaun...I do sometimes feel and have for a little while ...that for Ru, it’s about her...but for us, it’s about the ladies and their stories and struggles to get there, into that werkroom and into their dream....
