You also can't burn it from a lower fidelity source arista that's music piracy 101! You can't regain lost fidelity by converting to a different format... you burn an MP3 source to a CD, it's still going to sound like an MP3. The fidelity is lost... they record these updated studio versions from the source master copies.

Either way, you certainly don't do it by recording the analogue output into the back of your HiFi. You literally CANNOT record anything more than 2.0 audio from your red/white stereo inputs... use your noggin!

IF you must burn to a physical disk (I suggest not, honestly, you can get high fidelity digital files) then you need to burn the source file directly from your PC.

The clue is in the name . 5.1 = 5 channels + sub. Your stereo splitter cable only carries 2 channels... and over copper cables? Ugh I can't even start this is making me feel ill .
