Personally I'd say 6 was a bit of a "blip", I loved RE5 despite its flaws, they just took it too far with 6. I mean yeah it had its issues - a big one being that having a constant companion ALWAYS makes a game distinctly un-scary ... I guess similar to how walking down a country lane in the pitch dark isn't that scary with a friend but ****-your-pants terrifying alone
. Being armed like Duke Nukem didn't exactly add to the tension also. It was a bit goofy but it was still tonnes of fun IMO. Resi 6 was just over-long and ... not really fun at all.
