I recommend watch it GH, it's one of the few "horror movies" that genuinely unsettles me, even after seeing it so many times. Just something very sinister and gutwrenching about the whole film to me, makes my stomach turn. I think it's the setting mainly - and those long, empty, twisting/turning corridors and the thought of being chased there. *shudder*
Yes Stanley Kubrick was a swine to her on set, apparently it was intentional by him in order to get the best performance out of her - it worked I guess.
Can you believe the scene where Jack stalks Wendy from his desk up the staircase (before she hits him with the baseball bat) was done
127 TIMES before Kubrick was happy? Poor Shelley.
