well like i said both of the two main candidates Armin Laschet (CDU) and Markus Soder (CSU) are very qualified for that job
what i've also seen from them
Laschet currently is the PM of North-Rhine Westphalia, and Soder is currently the PM of Bavaria
thankfully the far right AfD has lost much power throughout the years, and as for the Greens well they haven't got a strong leader, but at least smart enough to follow the more popular parties
as for Merkel she'll step away from media/tv world for a while just to relax more, she also had confirmed that recently
