Jurassic World 4 is very much possible, Frank Marshall hinting once again at the franchise's future

Though Jurassic World: Dominion will close out the current trilogy, franchise producer Frank Marshall says there could be more dinosaur stories ahead.

Jurassic World producer Frank Marshall hints there could be more movies ahead for the franchise following this year's Dominion. Seven years after the Jurassic series returned to the big screen with Jurassic World, it's set to close out an era this June. Originally scheduled to debut in theaters last year, Jurassic World: Dominion is expected to complete the current trilogy with an adventure that spans franchise past and present. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are back as Jurassic World's two lead stars, while Park trio Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern all return to the franchise in substantial roles.

With Jurassic World: Dominion having been postponed by one year, the future for the dinosaur franchise remains a giant question mark. By all accounts, Dominion will be the last film in this current trilogy; director Colin Trevorrow said last year that it wraps up the entire franchise, Park included. However, projects like the Netflix series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous have shown there is room for other stories set within this world. Though nothing is set in stone yet, it sounds like there could be more life in these dinosaurs.

Speaking recently to /Film, Jurassic World producer Frank Marshall responded to the question of whether there will be additional movies in the franchise after Dominion. Marshall stopped short of outright confirming something like Jurassic World 4, but he did say that in moving beyond Dominion, the creative minds behind the franchise will consider where to go next. Marshall said:
Quote:
"I think that 'Dominion's' going to wrap up this trilogy, but we're not resting on our laurels. We're going to sit down, and we're going to see what the future is. We have that wonderful series, 'Camp Cretaceous,' on Netflix. We obviously want to make quality, good movies with great storytelling, great writers and directors, but we're definitely looking to do more in the 'Jurassic' world."
