I agree, I would probably feel differently if it was like for example measles and the case that vaccination significantly impacts or even halts transmission rates. I still would never see it mandatory (I wouldn't advocate for the measles vaccine being mandatory) but I would understand the idea of shutting down misinformation for the good of public health.
As things stand with Omicron, the data shows time and time again that vaccination drastically cuts the risk of severe illness but NOT of catching and transmitting the virus ... which makes it much more a case of (for me) individual choice. Not taking it would be a STUPID choice but not a public health hazard.
