It's not that it's a cover-up or bogus reason in this case; it's that Arista is WILDLY misreporting/downplaying the reasons he was fired.

He broke journalistic code by (reading between the lines) using his knowledge and contacts to help his brother (ex New York governor) combat sexual harassment allegations and was suspended pending misconduct investigations... and during the course of this, a woman came forward with sexual harassment allegations against Chris Cuomo himself (with evidence it seems) so they dropped him.

It's not because he "slept with a co-worker" by any stretch of the imagination.
