Eh, I'm gonna go all "Hollywood Bad" again, but there are some issues which simply won't be portrayed in a nuanced way in today's media. Can be annoying, but one has to choose between enjoying something and sometimes getting annoyed, or one can just completely cut it off because it was annoying once.

Not seen it, I get a bit funny about adaptations of books or comics I like. Ironically, I choose to cut it off preemptively rather than getting annoyed
But based on how he played the characters in JP, JW, and SVU, I'd say he's a good shout for Dr Strange, assuming he's comics-accurate.
