They're allowing this conceited individual the privilege of basically stating and bragging that the game/show he is currently "wasting his time" participating in is
BENEATH HIM. And here they are, not only ignoring a normally reviled trait from such a fool, but actually lavishing praise on him like he's some sort of worthy hero. EMBARRASSING. But this is the pathetically fickle nature of the vast majority of fans of this game.
