with each vehicle needing around 3,000.
When the pandemic started,
vehicle-makers cancelled chip orders
as demand plummeted.

the spare production space for laptops,
tablets, TVs and smart appliances.
Vehicle makers are now struggling.
Chip shortages are expected to continue
into next year or even 2024,
with the market expected to
double in value to £779 billion by 2030,
according to analysts.
