Something about these maths is not working out

… I can only assume that one barn burned down and they have many such barns?
Because “tens” of thousands of chickens ain’t laying 3 MILLION eggs a day.
Thus, I think the impact on the food chain is being massively exaggerated here. It can only possibly be a small percentage of their output that’s affected.
