I think the owner should be given a warning....then if it happens again then the dog may be put down. These dogs are not killers but they are known for nipping.
It was probably a one off incident...he offered compensation and the lady a lift but she has still chosen to go down this path. Pets are a massive comfort to the elderly...so shame on her.
